These air fryer brats are the easiest way to cook them! Super fast and without all the mess, these take just 10 minutes!
If you’ve made our turkey bacon and sausage links in the air fryer already, you’ll know that it’s the best way to cook them.
There is no oil or grease splattering, no messy kitchen, and they take barely any time. Now, we can add air fryer bratwurst to the mix!
Why this recipe works
- Quick and easy. In just 10 minutes, your air fryer brats will be ready to go on the table.
- Healthier. Pan frying bratwurst adds extra calories from the oil its cooked in. Air frying them skips that completely.
- Easy clean up. Cooking brats on the stovetop or grill leaves plenty of clean up afterwards. air frying them, though, skips all of that.
What I love about this recipe is that it’s made dinner time an absolute breeze. I can even throw some broccoli or baked potatoes in the air fryer at the same time and we’ll have dinner on the table in under 20 minutes!
Ingredients needed
This recipe calls for just two simple ingredients. Here is what you’ll need:
- Bratwurst sausages. These are a type of German sausage that’s mostly made from pork and sometimes veal and beef. They are available in many flavors, so you can choose your favorite.
- Spray oil. To grease the air fryer basket.

Air fryer brats are awesome! Try a one pot meal…cut up some brats, add onions, bell peppers and frozen pierogies.
(…and a little cajun seasoning).
