Ingredients for no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies
- Quick Oats– I used gluten-free quick oats, to keep it gluten-free. You are welcome to use old fashioned oats instead if you prefer a softer cookie.
- Maple Syrup– Holds the cookies together, and provides sweetness. You can substitute this for agave nectar.
- Chocolate Peanut Butter– I used a homemade chocolate peanut butter (see below), but you can use store-bought chocolate peanut butter too. Opt for ones with reduced or no added sugar. The chocolate already mixed in the nut butter means that you don’t need to add any extra chocolate, but still have all the flavor. You can substitute this for any chocolate spread of choice, or homemade Healthy Nutella.

Hi Arman, can I use Xylitol in this recipe or another diabetic friendly sweetener? I do understand it’ll have to be made into a liquid to replace the 1 cup of Maple syrup. Can you help me on how to sub the maple syrup? The chocolate nut butter i will use the chocolate hazelnut spread Nuttvia made by Natvia.I think the nuttvia will work. My cousin is a diabetic and I like to share some treats with her.
Love your recipes.
Hey Arman. I’ve quietly been following you for a couple of months now. Even attempted one or two of your awesome vegan recipes…BUT…none photogenic enough to share with the Big Man himself!
These look incredibly yummy and so simple…not even I can’t screw them up surely hmm. I don’t have chocolate peanut butter though – can I combine smooth peanut butter with a chocolate syrup?
Hi there! I haven’t tried that- Feel free to experiment and see 🙂
I love making no bake cookies – it’s always a fun way to spend an afternoon with my nephew 🙂 These cookies look delicious!
No measurements for your chocolate peanut butter, how much should I use of each?
Add as much cocoa as you like. The peanuts, start with 2 cups.
No shame, I’m a cookie dough fan. You know, just make the dough/batter and eat it from the bowl. But in all seriousness, I totally get you on baking! The waiting process is PAINFUL, and my patience wears thin! I absolutely love the look of these cookies–they probably taste even better!
BRAVO!!! You have done it again. No bake cookies are one of my favorites and now thanks to you I can eat them again. Thank You!
😀 You are so welcome!
These all look delicious and the recipes are great! Thank you so much for sharing these. 🙂
You are so welcome!
Everything I read says you need to soak your oats. I’ve read ot is unhealthy to eat unsoaled or in cooked oats. Is this true?
Personal choice, I have no qualms using oats as they are 🙂
I was feeling a bit lazy hence the no bake recipe, so I went ahead and put the mix in a glass rectangular baking pan and cut them into granola bars. Oh my goodness my kids love them! And the homemade chocolate peanut butter is good for pretty much anything. Thanks!
I love no bake cookies. Anyways what can I use instead of syrup?
